Important: Facebook Pricacy Settings

To make sure that you are browsing safely, check your URL displayed in your browser. If the address appears like this:


only with the prefix “http” or “www” and not with the prefix “https” your browser session is NOT Secure. In this case your account is easy to hack. To fix this security lack just follow this short instruction:
click on "Account Settings"

click on change

Choose "Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible". Don't forget to save the changes afterwards!

On the account security page you can also change the “Login Notifications” and the “Login Approvals” for more security.

You should definitely also check the “Account Activity” displayed beneath the login setting. Please note that the location is only approximately correct.  

In addition it is also worth to check out the "Download Your Information" part at the bottom of the page. Here you can download your entire profil including all messages, pictures etc. in order to see which information about you are available on Facebook.
